The Island Environmental Association of Thassos supports the legal appeal that is being prepared for submission to the Council of State against CO₂ storage in Prinos. Together with the appeal already announced by the Municipality of Thassos, we are moving forward with collective determination to strengthen the prospects of success and to safeguard the natural wealth of our island.
Decades of experience have shown that multiple, independent grassroots appeals reinforce the struggle, act as an institutional safeguard, and reduce the risk of weakening or manipulation. We have already formed a strong legal and scientific support team, and we remain committed to proceeding with transparency, unity, and full accountability.
